McDonald's recalls Shrek Drinking Glasses

World famous hamburger joint McDonald’s is recalling the 12 million drinking glasses that is promoting the new “Shrek” movie because of the collectibles containing a toxic metal called Cadmium. McDonald’s states that it want customers to stop using the tainted 16-glass-which are sold for $2.00 each. The glasses, which depict the four main characters from the hit, franchise “Shrek”. Cadmium is in fact a known carcinogen which research has shown it can soften the bones and cause severe kidney problems. McDonalds’s concern is over a period of long use the low levels of cadmium would slowly leak from the paint and onto a child’s hand, then causing the child to put their unclean hands into his/her mouth . Parents beware McDonald’s will like you to be careful with the safety of your children.

Police reported Eze, 24, was held by store security guard until they arrived. Now as I see it this young woman loved her job and had some many years 16 to be exact that she was killed by the mammal that she loved so much. Killer Whales do tend to show their aggressive behavior at times. When, you never know when they will flip on you. I am sure that Dawn Brancheau didn’t see this coming. It is reported that the whale pulled her underwater by her long ponytail, authorities say. Dawn was recovered from the whale by Sea World staff. I’m pretty sure most of you have seen the movie Precious. One of the stars of the show is Gabourey Sidibe. Even though she only has one movie role under her belt, her performance in the movie precious has earned her a nomination for an Academy award. Ebony Magazine has her on the front cover for the March 2010 issue. Now that’s what I call classy and stardom. Gabby as she is affectionately known shows an inner strength that we would all love to call our own. She has that freedom that I can do anything be anybody and still come out to be me. Here’s a quote from Gabby and she says it like this.” I wake up with myself every morning, so the only opinion that really matters is mine”, and this is on page 110. That’s right Gabby, only your opinion really matters when it comes down to being who you are and this is a good inner strength that we all need. The Cayman Islands had a 5.8 magnitude earth quake. It is a U.K Territory in Caribbean about 600 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. There were no real serious reports of any injuries in the three-island chain in the Caribbean. Cayman Islands my place of birth. I would never dream of hearing about an earthquake and I only knew of hurricanes. Last week as we all know Haiti which is only several hundred miles away had a big earthquake that killed so many people. It was a disaster, that countries all over the world came out to help and sent donations to help the Haitian people. Now, the Cayman Islands are a very beautiful Island full of white sandy beaches, sunshine and good people. Let’s all pray that god will watch over our Island. Folks talk to your children I know they are indeed scared comfort them as much as you can.

Actor Jimmy-Jean Louis traveled to see his parents in Haiti after the earth, quake ripped apart their homeland. The “Heroes” star told radar online.com that he was very glad to see his parents and that they were safe, but everyone was having a rough time coping with the tragedy. Louis shared something that he’d just didn’t wish to see “It is so graphic the bodies in the streets and they were treated like a piece of garbage”. The way the bodies had been handled was just sad. I’m pretty sure it was a horrific sight; we are hoping that Haiti is getting its relief and getting help and medical attention. This has been a hard time for the Haitian people.

She likes to invite people into her show is if they are actually in the audience. She greets everyone with a warm smile and then invites you onto her show. Monique gave an emotional acceptance speech, and she looked lovely in her long gold strapless gown and thanked her hubby Sidney Hicks and her costar Gabby Sidibe before dedicating her award to victims of sexual abuse. Monique stated, “I celebrate this award with all the precious’s with all the Mary’s. I celebrate this award with every person that’s ever been touched she said. It’s now time to tell them its okay”. That was a wonderful statement, and I’m sure that those who are living the life of precious and all of the Mary’s, that they’ve watched this movie. Teddy Pendergrass has Passed away

On a sad note, our beloved R&B Singer the Great Teddy Pendergrass has died of colon cancer he was just 59. I remember when I went to one of his concerts in South Carolina that was before the crash... Boy did teddy turn it out. He just had that voice that rattled your insides. He will be greatly missed by us all. Teddy Pendergrass II, the singer’s son stated that his father underwent colon cancer surgery about eight months ago and had a “difficult recovery”. Teddy was a heart throb with songs such as “Close The Door” ,”Love T.K.O” and other hits that have become classics. Wishing the Pendergrass family all the love and support and he too will be remember for his style of singing.

Producer Shawty Redd Turns Himself In to Authorities

Demetrius Stewart known as “Shawty Redd” the Hip –hop producer has worked with many artist such as Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, as well as Young Jeezy has turned himself in to authorities for murdering a man in his home. According to reports that, in the wee hours of new Years Day, Shawty Redd was at his home with guest, it is reported that an argument ensued with one person who threatened violence against Shawty Redd. In fear for his life Shawty Redd, retrieved his firearm for self-defense. As a result of this the individual was shot and killed this was not done intentionally. It is reported that immediately. There after that Shawty Redd Went down to the Henry County Police Department and surrendered himself after this unfortunate accident. Crime scene units were seen leaving Shawty Redd’s house in Henry County. It was reported that the two were friends. There is no word on what the true Motive was. Shawty Redd is due back in court on January 12, 2010.
